Post Rain-X on OEM windshield?

Is it possible to effectively use Rain-X on our 996 windshield(front & back)?

The bottle warns not to use the product on "coated or non-clear surfaces".

The OEM glass has a certain amount of tint to it IMO. Does this mean it's "coated or non-clear"?

Every make sold probably has a certain amount of tint in the windscreen now...

My second consideration is the front wipers which make more noise than a YUGO's now, will the Rain-X make it worse?

If you're talking about noisy blades try a little silicons spray on a rag and wipe both sides of the blades and along the edge...or it's time to change to a different compound blade.

I used it on mine with no problems.
I also have actually waxed my windshields, with the same wax as I use on the car! Works well too.

FWIW, any foreign matter on the windshield will hasten the wear on the wiper blades.
