RUF exhaust on a 99 996
Recently, I bought a Ruf exhaust from a fellow boarder. After installing it this past weekend, I finally got to hear it for the first time. You can hear it here:
<a href="http://home.attbi.com/~ccasey34/RUF_exhaust.AVI" target="_blank">RUF exhaust</a>
(Sorry about the jerkiness in the video at the beginning.)
The tone is really nice, and is definitely louder than stock, but not intrusive at all. There is no resonance whatsoever.
I was, however, hoping for a louder exhaust - something that my wife would just barely tolerate. To that end, I've begun searching for a replacement. If anyone is interested in taking the RUF off of my hands, please let me know and I'm sure we can work out a good deal for both of us.
Enjoy the sound clip, and let me know if you're interested!
Thanks,
Chris

Nick,
The sound is really unique - a little bassier and louder than stock at low RPM's, and at 3.5k and above it takes on a really mechanical "Whirrr" tone.
Check the movie that I linked in my original post.
Thanks,
Chris
