Default Aluminum/White Faced Gages

How easy/difficult is it to change te face of the gages from the original black to aluminum/white? Do you have to replace the whole dashboard unit, are is it possible to just replace the faces of the gages?

Its not hard...It was my first Porsche mod with my Boxster. You simply remove the gauge pod, then open it up, remove the needles of the gauges. Peel off the old black gauge faces, put on the new gauge faces, which have an adhesive backing. Then put the gauge needles back on, then reinstall the gauge pod. Takes about 30-40 minutes.....

just be careful with the needles. other members have broken them. Also, take pictures to mark the exact position of the needles b4 you remove them

I thought it sounded easy. I will never mess with that part of the car. Find an expert and pay them, the downside is very expensive!! Calibration, needle alignment=YIKES!!

I sent you a pm. I have a set that I bought for my brother in law as a Christmas gift that have never been mounted(he sold his 996 shortly thereafter before installing them). They are the aluminum set. I have tried with no luck to get my money back on them, and would be more than happy to let you have them at a nice discount. I paid $299.
