i believe so...not recommending anyone buy off ebay (hell i don't think i would..especially since he doesn't seem to take paypal/visa)...
but thikn about it: the 996TT motor is a direct drop in (especially if you have E-Gas) and ive seen used motors/tranny combos for as low as 20-25 grand canadian. add an aftermarket ECU and stuff and you're looking at what ? 30 g's?
chip it, exhaust get the motor upto like 550-600HP in a really lightweight, and RWD C2, and you'd have a bullit!

I have a motor from an 2003 car with less than 5K miles on it. Has the wiring harness and only needs a DME. If someone is seriously considering to install this motror in their NA 996, I will step up and help out with the project.
Remember, you have to change the tranny as well.

This would not be a hell of a project. It would be the project from Hell

Not really. It depends on who is doing the install and what kind of experience they have with " special " Porsche projects. When the ground work is well planned, i.e. all parts for install, additional modifications to car, it doesn't turn out so bad.

^ shocks and whatnot can be adapted (revalved pss9's) and ubermensch, if i can sell my car and parts for 60 something grand, i will put a diposit on the GT3 RS or a 996GT2. i really really don't fell like going to a 4WD.
But for those who have bought a 996 C2 for cheap enuff, a turbo engine swap may be a cost effective and crazy project worth doing.
