Red face Smoking at startup during DE events

I have experienced an excessive amount of smoking after the car has been parked during a DE event. Upon startup there is a white (very excessive) plume of smoke. After some time (3 sec) the smoking subsides.

The oil pressure does drop in severe left turn cornering but does not drop below level 3 (has anyone else had this problem). There is no smoking issue at any other time. I have had the car to the dealer and they have not found any problems. Any ideas?

The car is a 2000 996 C4.

Thanks,
Charlie

I've been tracking my car for 3 years now and I periodically get some oil smoke on start-up both at DEs and sometimes just after sitting in the garage. Like yours, it burns off after a couple seconds. My car is not consuming oil between oil changes, so I don't worry about it. I've been told by many 911 owners that this is pretty normal for the boxer engine.
