Aluminium interior
Hi
Has anyone ordered the aluminium interior on the 996?
Is it real aluminium or plastic painted to look like aluminium?

It still looks great though!
Does anyone know which 'Alum' package has the slightly shorter (At least in apperarance)and boxier leather / alum shifter with the Alum accent between the shifter boot and the console? Thx

SkyMast--that part is etched aluminum, not plaluminum, as is the matching e-brake handle. You can buy them individually or as a set from Carnewal at a lot better prices than from a dealer.
Gert even did a special for me with the etched **** and boot in different color leathers.
Judging by eBay, it appears that Gemballa can do the plaluminum treatment to any of the interior bits.

Various suppliers have aluminum bits for the interior. Most are painted plastic.
If you have something you'd like painted to mimic the alumalook, let me know.
We do interiors now as well - dash parts, rear center consoles, etc.
