Is the Evo Intake the same as the PowerFlow Intake?
The units look the same, minus the evo badge, and cost the same...
Here is a link to the PowerFlow
I have a connection with this company, and they are willing to give a significant discount whereas Evo isn't of course...
However, no price is worth a compromise in quality...
What do you guys think? I mean it's "just an intake"

Also, there is no telling wether or not my connection knows what an "evo intake" is...
Dan, Didn't evo do an "update" to their intake system not too long ago? Or do they just get it from the same manufacture as SuperFlow and not tweak it at all?
thanks in advance

Exactly the same, save some dough and get either the KN or the fabspeed. A local guy here dynoed the fabspeed orange hose and it picked up 3-4 hp on every run over stock. The evo with all it's hype doesn't do a whole lot better.

I agree with C4S try changing the stock filter for BMC filter and if that's not enough fit the most expensive piece of orange hose in history (fabspeed). I fitted both at the same time and not sure what made the difference (filter or hose), maybe its the orange color that does it.

That's what stops me from doing the evo/bmc. I currently run stock filter with the Fabspeed "wunderhose". It sounds and runs great. I am afraid of oil contamination from the bmc filter.

Anyone else know a bit more about the two filters (K&N, BMC) that can shed some light here?

That is the updated version. They no longer sell the V1 anymore. However is a better solution to the EVO intake at that price!!! Check this out

The Sensor is still close to the intake so those bends will not help.
I do wish this intake option was available when I was shopping for intakes.

When will you have it available and is this the intake that you were talking about a couple of weeks ago that you could not divaulge the name? This intake seems to have a large bend, would it help to eliminate MAS problems if over oiled?

I disagree, WashDC. I think that bend should help more than a straight-line shoot in reducing any 'over-oiled' air filter MAF sensor CEL faults. Anyway, I'm ordering one as soon as it's in inventory and will know better shortly thereafter.
