My take on mixing and matching springs and shocks.

You can just change the springs to achieve the ROW sports rides height. But it is more kosher to match higher spring rate springs with matching higher pressure shocks that's designed to match the spring in order for the car to perform as it was intended.
For normal street driving you probably wouldn't notice any difference, but it is very apprent as soon as you start to push the car. Most pronouced when you hit a changing road sruface or dip on the road at higher rate of speed.
Another case point that has happened to many people and catch them off guard is when the road surface suddently changes under hard braking as the shock don't respond as quickly and the ABS kicks in and causes long stopping distantce and..... bink

Robin, good to know...thanks for the info! Looks like this might be a little more pricey than I thought...oh well, it's only money and I can't take it with me when I die, right?
Paul, sounds good. What is the best price for this setup? How many hours does a typical indie shop charge for this install?

I just installed a ROW M030
The ROW M030 kit comes with:
4 ROW M030 shock
4 ROW M030 springs
1 front sway bar w/ bushings and drops
1 rear sway bar w/ bushings and drops
I also ordered new bumpstops.
I immediately saw a drop in the car's stance and know it will drop a bit more. I have an Aero front and have scraped a few times since, so I know it is lower.
Most of all the car feels much more planted - much of that wandering front is gone. I can't wait to see the difference on the track.
For a $1000, you can't go wrong.

The guy is very talented and has the crdentials, he hand builds suspensions for a number of Porsches here in NZ including all the Bridgestone racing team (944s). He is currently building a competion set for a 993 turbo at a cost of 9grand a corner. I am very tempted to give him a go. He keeps the car for at least a week and works with the owner on settings on the road and at the track.
I am very very tempted and could make a good write up.

Got the ROW kit from Sunset Porsche in OR. It took about three weeks to get. Well worth the wait. I had it installed by a shop for @ $600. I live right in the city (Boston) so I didn't have access to an area in which to install it - from the directions, it doesn't seem very complicated - if I had a garage, I would do it myself.
I took that car out for the weekend and hit over 100mph several times - the car is soooo much more planted to the ground.

Did you get the complete ROW kit with springs, shocks, and swaybars? What is the kit price? And finally is it model specific, like different kits for cab vs. coupe?
Thanks, Nick
