Question Help w/ OEM DVD-based NAV question??

Hello friends,
I tried to search in the archive for this issue but came out empty. I have a '00 996 Cab w/ OEM DVD-based NAV system and the system works fine here in CA. Does anyone know if this system would work in another state with the current DVD or do I need to buy another DVD for that particular state? Any replies are greatly appreciated it.
Thanks,
-Bao.

PCM is cd based. Your cd should tell you which states are covered. Early PCM has 7 or 8 CDs to cover just US. The later PCM has 2 CDs. There is no DVD based Nav for Porsche on 996.
