Toddler car seats for the 996?
I have a 6 month old who will be about 8 months when my C4S comes. We just tried to fit a Britax toddler seat, rear facing, into a 2002 C2. The front seat had to be pulled as far forward as it could go, very uncomfortable.
So I wonder, who has toddler seats, what model, how do they fit?
thanks!

Urbanski,
I have the Porsche Zoom seat installed on my 99 Boxster and now on my 01 C2 cab. It allows the child to sit more comfortably in the front seat and disconnects the airbag when a child is in the seat.
Plus the back and headrest portions of the seat can be removed as the child grows and it will still function properly as a booster seat.
Porsche makes 2 other seats for smaller clidren as well. I believe they are in the tequipmet catalog. The installation of the airbag deactivation device will run you about $250.00 or so.

Just looked at my own car, and there is no way a rear facing carseat placed in the rear seat will still allow enough leg room up front to be comfortable. I have 4 kids of my own, and all of them were in a forward facing seat by the time they were 8 months old. By the time your 4 wheel baby arrives, the Britax should be fine for forward facing in the rear seat.
