Post Bluish band on brake rotors

My brakes rotors have a faint bluish band on them. As if there was a blue marker in the middle of each pad.

A buddy suggests my rotors could have been overheated, but I haven't even brought the car to track yet. And I also find it unlikely that all the pads have the exact same hot spot in the middle.

Any other possible reasons? I just noticed this while washing the car last weekend.

Hey seggy long time no see. Don't know what that is(brake fluid?) By the way June 29th(sunday) at sear's point with NASA(www.nasaproracing.com)- price is really great(need to pay an annual membership-cheap) $179 plus membership($35?). Since haven't done the track before I'm group 1 beginner-hope you can make it : ). I also bought a 1983 VW MK1 GTI which I'm hoping to take to sear's-it's going thru an engine swap(8v to 16v)/suspension/brake conversion etc. Car will weigh like 1600 lbswhen stock was like 1917lbs-damn lite) running 160 hp(hoping but more likely 145).
