How do I contact John D. about how to set this up?
Dutchie,

Sent John an email. Thanks Tim.

Re group buy... he is willing to sell for 90 if we have more than 5... will keep shipping the same. Candidly, for the $9 discount, it isn't worth it going through this. I will send him another email to see if he has more flexibility, i.e., 10 people $75 or something.

I agree - not worth the hassle for that price.

Unless the price comes down into the $70's, then we just wait - it's not as though it's a "must-have" mod.

These go for $129.00 on Vertex Automotive web site. This is a good deal.

It MIGHT be required that ALL Group Buys need to be approved by John.

Earlier this week one of the Moderators closed down a Group Buy thread on the 997 Forum that was not pre-approved by John.
You don't need to get JD's approval until you make it official. At this point it is just a bunch of members talking about ideas.

Someone send this guy an email and see what kind of discount we can get for 10, 15, 20+ sets. If he is willing to work a discount with us, then shoot an email to JD and ask for his blessing. Once you get it, post an official thread up.

Not a big deal.

Ted - thanks for the clarification. I just didn't want the guys to go through the effort to get this set up and end up having the plug pulled bacause they didn't follow the proper procedures.

Seriously, with these pedals already being a bargain compared to other retailers - is holding out for $10 or something worth the effort?

Hey - I'm all about getting a deal - but these pedals are a steal as listed, and I can confirm that I was more than happy with the quality on the two sets I bought and installed.

Just MHO.

I just picked up a set and am not interested in participating in a group buy.

Thanks for trying to coordinate it anyway.

Emailed John and it's not against any rules to do a group buy... here's John'e email response, so everybody knows the rules:
-----------------
I have no problem with a Group Buy..?? Not sure who told you it was against the rules, but a) you are a Member so this site is as mine as yours, and b) I usually ask for permission before posting a Group Buy, just so I know who is doing the GB, just in case something doesn't work out, I have a contact name/address...

Anyway - if anyone asks - you are set..! My thanks for your e-mail, support and patience!

John

$80 + shipping (believe it's $25) if we get more than 10 people. He will accept paypal.

Need your email address if you are interested.

Also, he has more than enough in stock, so no need to get rushed.

I'm in, assuming he has the tip pedal set. These are the ones that have the Porsche script, correct?

Thanks for doing the legwork, Dutchie !!
