Yes....decent price on the motor....Install is about a day of labor....at the dealer like another $1500? So for another 10k you get a new engine...throw in another $500 for the clutch while you are in there....you get an 01 C4 for about 25K....maybe 5K worth of cleanup work....so 30K for an 01 C4.....not a bad deal....but you can maybe get a PERFECT one for like 35k.....so its a matter of if you want to do the work and make it a project....

Swapping a 3.6 is not really a viable option logistically. There are way too many differences. I would walk away. You can get a low mileage, well cared for one owner 996 in the 30s if you take your time to find the right car.
