Frightening Experience..

to P1CR, the speakers on my 2002 996 say "bose" on them. and i get out quite a bit, perhaps not as often as i did prior to sept 11th 2001, after all i did attend 6 funerals that year. i work in nyc, across from a very big graveyard, we used to call it wtc.when i got home that night, after walking all day up the FDR, i was witness to arabs dancing in the streets in NJ. so, like i said, i'm not accustomed to arab humor. but thanks for the suggestion.

groberts, you have dropped so low with what you are hinting that I'm sickenned. I'm dead serious, be clear... what does being arab or the abominable Sept 11th nightmare have to do with our steemed Waz's posts on this forum?

Carlos,
Am sure you can make a visit over this side of the planet, it's quite promising trust me (with or without family! ).. Anyaway, most exits here are all embankments and the tarmac is free from any expansion joint. What really scared me was that the desert sand here forms a very thin volatile layer on the roads that you can see moving like a water wave.. I thought the tires would lose grip due to that.. Having discussed more with fadi, he admitted he'd reached the cornering limit of grip and did slow down for a while.. I think PSM shoul've also played a major rule during the process without us realising, does it work at high speeds?!
Fadi,
You pay my life insurance next year!
Khaled,
I bow! no more please!
John,
It is an honour to read your post!!
P1CR,
Hey where are you staying now? Hey send anyone of us an email and we'll sure receive you and family gladly! You are most welcome, you know this is part of our 'arab' tradition known for centuries on.. Posting my phone is not advised I might find out groberts wanting to pay me a visit as well!
As for the tracks here, there are none yet but I am sure the 'disease' will surely reach us.
Groberts,
You are very entertaining, my advise to you is to get well informed about all of us here if you want to really be welcomed. Posts like mine will teach others about the limits of our cars, maybe you ought to answer my question up by the way..
You're still at your 15th post and we can still be good friends after all..
Waz
..been there, done that

...and i am sorry i never got to find out a solution for your thomping sound, consider it a weakness over my belittled knowledge, I was never Shumacher's mechanic nor the chief designer of turbines at porsche.. I only got a master degree in eng'g, fluent with four languages (one of which you never even heard of)..

I was wondering if anyone was going to post a link to those posts that Groberts found so terrible insulting.
I was curious last night and the only thing I saw was a joke were someone suggested that the Groberts "thumping" noise was a tire pressure gauge loose in the door pocket. Pretty funny stuff - but it wasn't Waz's humor - it was someone else.
Still - it didn't seem like enough to make someone stew over for five months...

The post you are asking about Scott is the same you have read, I've even posted the link up you can see and read it: if you see any offense in my replies please tell me. And it wasnt me that replied about the tire pressure guage you are right. Moreover, I OWNED a 996 at the time of reply!! *just to make a point that is, if ever such a stupid and irrelevant point matters for any pointless fact*
What really pissed me off is the OWNERSHIP part of the question, read:
''waz, you post here all day and you don't own a porsche?''
Awwwww myyyyy God... I read this on and on and all I can think make me just puke... What on earth does ownership have to do with this, talkess about other race, ethnic, religious or history facts..
So the other side of it means:
'I should own a Porsche, be an American (or why dont you say it out loud: be a non-arab/muslim), know everthing about direct induction flow, digital wastegate valves and vario-cam engines..
Groberts, you completely disregarded the fact that I have even paid for my membership in this forum whereas you have not! I got more right to post here than you do!
I am sorry to have offended you in my five-month-back-posts, if ever I did. At least I didnt go off topic neither I have ever shown any racism in my previous 658 topics, nor offended any group or community while doing this.
I suggest you do the same otherwise we're both wasting our time..

Congrats on the 993 - looking forward to hearing about your experiences with it and hope your not intending to disappoint us 996'ers by dissapearing over to the 'air-cooled' side and not continuing to post here

waz, wasn't aware that you have been a porsche owner, you recent post suggested that you had hoped to acquire one. now i see that you are looking forward to getting another one. also, i was unaware that you and your friends enjoy relating every nuance of your driving experiences on this site. the "lounge" forum seemed to be where those lengthy ramblings were logged, or perhaps a game boy site? perhaps i'll stick with other sites for feedback on my new car. best of luck to you in the united arab emirates. and watch out for those daisy cutters.
