Traffic Pro - New thread
The kit from Carnewal includes:
1)Porsche Traffic Pro head unit
2)GPS antenna (with wiring harness extension cable - connects to the back of the head unit)
3)8" lead wire with pin connector (inserts into the factory wiring harness for the reverse gear sensor)
4)2 CDs (covers the entire US - East/West with 300 mile overlap)
What you need without DSP:
16 guage stranded lead wire - connect to 8" wire and run to reverse gear sensor at weld point 21 under the driver's seat.
crimp connectors for the connections
electrical tape
What you need with DSP:
16 guage stranded lead wire - connect to 8" wire and run to reverse gear sensor at weld point 21 under the driver's seat.
Additional pin connector for the factory wiring harness (I believe it is position 2). Run lead to the speedometer wire on wiring harness A (the blue one) behind the instrument cluster. On my MY 2001, it was position 13, but it doesn't matter what pin it is, it is the only Grey/Pink lead in that harness.
crimp connectors for the connections
electrical tape
You have to remove the alarm sensor, pop up the defroster vents on top of the dash, the radio, the A/C controls, the driver's seat, instrument cluster (DSP only) and partially remove the sill cover to run all of the connections.
Then, do this <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" />

Could you please clarify which is wiring harness A and how to access it? I have DSP and this is the only problem I'm having. When you say behind the instrument cluster do you mean actually the dash or the center console? I also ran the reverse sensor wire under the carpet to the cneter console. Much easier than undoing all the side rail stuff!I think it also sucks that I had to order this extra .20 piece of wire (pin connector) and wait for it to come in because I have DSP. I think they should have included it.

Yes it does, but it does have a built in cd player. Check out the latest issue of Excellence, there is a complete review.
