yes it does, But as long as its a porsche i dont care if it squeaks,cracks or breaks 
the last thing i did is took a long peice of rubber and closed the hardtop on it. it stopped for like 4 weeks and then squeaked again. and yeah on more thing it doesnt squeak with the softtop on.
sorry its a classic method of fixing things but it works and saves $$ & Time
