white face plates
The previous owner put white gauges/face plates on my car. I think I would prefer the black. Do the white one's just cover up the original black faces or would I have to buy black ones to take the place of the white ones?
TIA

you will need to remove the white face plates and replace with black face plates. Ask the original owner, he might have kept the original OEM Porsche face plates when he put on the white ones, in which case you can re-use them.

... and both cars need to have been completed in the same type of weather conditions, i.e. rain... sunshinne... snow. You can't mix & match!

What if mine is a pre-production Chinese model? The PO swore it would go up in value.

That will work but you have to
1-put the white face plates in a brown paper bag
2-swing it over your head 12 to 15 times while screaming like a chicken
