Are there any mods that can be done to the airbox to make it sound a bit better ??????
I don't want to change the exhaust or replace the airbox for an aftermarket item, as I'm not convinced they give any additional perfomance for the cash outlay.
There is a mod that can be done to the 993, is there a similar mod for the 996 ???????
Cheers,
SP

The airbox has a small muffler within it to keep it quiet. The simple mod that I've done simply blocks off the muffler.

Further steps would be to remove the screens (for slightly increased hp and better throttle response - from what I've heard) and/or cutting holes in the bottom of the airbox to release more of the sound. Another member has done this and is happy with the results.
