996 is a terrific grand touring car! especially up and down the taconic parkway!
more than enough space for 2 carry on bags, 2 medium zipper bags, 2 small garment bags and a golf bag while zipping around in great comfort!
the long sweepers on the taconic are marvelous! after going up once the position of the cops was fairly easy to predict. traffic was generally moving at 80-85 mph anyway. i found myself planning our visits to the great hudson river mansions in a way that we would have to run the taconic again! i can't wait to go back again!
btw i highly recommend the castle at tarrytown--terrific hotel with super meals! i don't recommend mohonk mountain house. lousy service and outmoded, small rooms for high prices.
