I know it has been beat to death but.....here we go...
I need tires and am between SO2s-SO2As-PZero----also want to change the tire size in the rear to 285/30-18 from 265/35-18. leave front size at 225. any input you may have from your experiences would be great....Jeff
Jeff.....I went from 265/35 to 285/30 on the rear and love it. I feel a bit more grip in the rear but also feel a bit more push (understeer) when on the track. I am going to the 235 fronts next.
I run S0-2 at the track and Conti's on the street. Love the S0-2 tire alot but after this set I am moving to the MPSC for my track tire.
i just ordered 265/35/18s for my rear, instead of the 285/30/18 that it came with. I think it should be fine, but then agian I have not gotten them put on yet.
I have SO2's on my car. The have very good response and feedback, but are very noisey on the freeway. At 70 mph they emit a barely tolerable drone. The SO2A's supposedly were redesigned to reduce their noise. There tread pattern looks much like the SO3. The PZero's that came with the car were fine until they hit the 8-10k mark afterwhich they also became very loud. This seems to be a problem with high performance, low profile tires. They both have enough grip for spirited street driving.
