A209 emissions recall
Anyone else received a Porsche recall regarding emissions, specifically the gas cap replacement?
I just received one today for my 01TT (seems a bit late).
No idea if the same gas cap is used on C2/C4 and TT's.
They mention that failure to replace the gas cap will lead to check engine lights, failures to pass emissions, etc..
The recall merely replaces the gas cap with a new one with better seals.
Here in MA, they remove your gas cap and check its seal on the emissions tester; my car and gas cap both passed.

It is for ALL Carrera's (and Boxsters) 99-02. This is not the earlier TSB (recommended) seal fix. It is a newly designed gas cap. In CA this is an Emissions Recall and they will reject your car at emissions testing without it.
