Post Bolt to Stud conversion

Has anyone here done a wheel bolt to wheel stud conversion? If yes, please tell me all about it. Putting the wheels back on with bolts is such a pain in the axx...
All I could find on-line so far was:

Thanks

You need a pair of these:

Never mind the threaded end, that is just for grip. You put the milled down end into the bolt holes (I use two per rim) and slide the wheel on, clearing monster calipers or other hazards, just as if you had studs!. You then start a bolt or two, pull these babys out, and put in the rest of the bolts.

Where did you get those 2 parts by the way?

A friend turned some ordinary 9/16 bolts down on a lathe.
