Post going prices for 2002 coupes - help!

Hoping for some insight into the going market on 2002 coupes. Interested in private, dealer and auction sales. Also, any information or recs on buying at auction - how, where, where to find info is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Michael

MSM, I've seen them from $65K-85k + depending on condition/equipment. Auctions are less but, what U see is what U get! I may have mine available-w/ 3 yrs of Warrenty, see "996 or house" thread, below this one. There's an e-pic of it & the house I hope to own behind it! If you want more info send me an e-mail @ bill@american-machinery.com

FYI

Edmunds {which from personal experience I've found to be right on} says $55K is the low end and $60K is the top end for a 2WD 2002 996.

I agree with pete on the pricing and at $60K you are right at the base invoice price of an 02. However, it is tough to find a even an 2001 for sale that price range. I would love to get auction feedback (99, 00, 01, and 02) from someone 'in the know.'

Anyone????????????

FWIW, I have talked to a few people that sell pre owned 996s. They indicated that the prices have not held up on the used 02s primarily because of the excess 02 inventory that dealers are selling at invoice and general economic conditions (people who are interested in buying are looking for a better deal / lower entry point and going with ones a few years older). Also, they indicated that 02 boxster resales are horrible because of the deep discount and low EOY lease rates at the end of 2002.
