Default Good source for replacement ***** (odo and clock) on instrument cluster?.....

I have a cluster with broken ***** (clock and odo reset). I know the ***** cannot be purchased from Porsche but can be used from an old, worn out cluster.

Does anyone have an idea where to start looking?

Thanks.

The ***** for the clock and odometer are part #996-641-911-00 and should be available from any porsche dealership for a MSRP of $6.31USD.

you're my hero.

I was told they could not be purchased separately!

Thanks!

Have them order the ***** and when they come in, shove the old ***** up the a$$ of the guy that told you they were not available. Oh, yeay, make sure he pulls his head out of his a$$ first, 'cuz if he doesn't, you might accidently poke him in the eye with the old *****!

well, I just got back from the stealership and the ***** that are sold using the above part number are NOT what I needed. Unfortunately, those are only the **** covers and the actual **** underneath the cover cannot be purchased separately.

So, my hunt continues. I basically need to find a broken cluster to steal them from!

Apologies for reviving a 4-year-old thread, but I have this problem as well (broken stem for ****) - is there any fix to this that anyone is aware of, or does it permanently affect the cluster?

I see these guys in the UK make replacment shafts for the odo trip, and clock set *****.
