Track Day Oil Consumption
How much oil consumption is normal for a day spent at the track? I own a 996 (4/98) and consumed over 1qt of oil in three twenty minute sessions at Streets of Willow. Ambient temp was 100, experienced driver, car has 25k miles. Note that there are no visible oil leaks, no white smoke and no oil residue around exhaust and rear body panels.

I've done a few events at SOW (summer and winter) and never had to add oil. The only time I added oil was during the first year. But upto now, I've changed my oil about every 3K miles. I've since switched to every 7500 miles or once a year.
