OK, before I get flamed for not driving enough....
'04 C4S Cab is two years old this week. I did the annual service/oil routine last May while it was inspected and had a few other minor things taken care of. Mileage at that point was 7500.
Goes in next week for inspection and a few other minor issues (stereo is freaking out, fuel door won't stay open when it should) but I'm only at 10.5k miles.
Is it recommended to go ahead with the oil/annual service at one year, even with the low miles? I usually go this route, but figured there might be a more sensible method to the madness.
Anyone?

Eric:
Change the oil every year or 15K, and since this is year 2, I would recommend that it is time to change out the brake fluid.
The issue for you and where you live is humidity and moisture condensation in the oil and brake fluid. I would also recommend a can of water remover in the gas tank. This stuff goes under various names, like "liquid Heet" and is usually sold as a remedy for freezing gas lines in winter.

The '04's came out with a different maintenance schedule than previous models, with fewer recommended oil chages, unless mileage related. That was why I thought about it. And for the few bucks ($200 or so) it will cost, it's worth the insurance as far as I am concerned, just wondered if there is some theory about not needing it, therefore leave it alone.
Annual Maintenance was eliminated with the '04 996.

Eric:
The issue for your to think about is moisture accumulation in both the oil and brake fluid.
While the moisture in the oil will boil out with regular usage, the brake fluid will retain the water.
