Question Can someone please confirm some sway bar link info for me?

1) I need to get the bolt size for the front and rear sway bar bolts. i think they are 13mm

2) i need the factory length of front and rear links, i think front is 175mm(confim please) i don't have the rear...(eye to eye or center to center)

3) confirmation that the front GT3 links are 30mm shorter.(pretty sure they are)

a friend is about to help me make some custom adjustable links to go with GT3 sways, any info would help
Thanks guys.

Which bolt? I don't recall any of them being 13mm. 12mm and 10mm IIRC on the end links. Also the exact length is somwhat dependent on your suspension and the manufacturing tolerances of your car and bars. The bars can be "not flat" by 1/8" or more. You want the end links as long as possible for your particular setup to avoid binding. If I get a chance, I'll make some measurements, but it might not be for a few days.

thanks Arenared, measurements would be great!!
i ment the bolts that attach the links to the swaybar, and the other end that attaches the link to the mount on the suspention...for front and rear, i just guessed that they were 13mm, was not sure...

and as far as length, i'm talking stock length C2 length, these will be run on a 02 996 targa with Row 030 and GT3 sways, the length just needs to be a ball park length since they will be adjustable, just not too short for binding reasons like you stated...

thanks
Shalil, i'd measure mine, i'm just stuck in europe and my car is in Canada...

oh, what does IIRC stand for?

The top bolt (suspension) is 12mm and the bottom is 10mm (bar). The stock link is 200mm long. These measurements are off a Boxster, but it's the end link same part number for 996 and 986 as long as it's MY 2000 or newer. I don't know what the difference was to prior years.

Awesome, thanks Arenared, one more Q, do those bolt sizes apply to both the front and rear links, and any idea how long the rear stock links are?

On a Boxster, they are the same links front and rear, but on the 996, there is a different part number. I don't know all what is different. From the pictures, it looks like the orientation is different (180 degrees vs 90 degrees). It also looks like the bottom (bar end) is still 10mm. The top bolt is shorter since it doesn't go through a wheel carrier, but I don't know the size or the length.
