Hey all,

Are aluminum gauge bezels available anywhere?

I've seen them for the 993 - I"ve been looking without success for a set for the 996. Let me know if you have any luck.

Aluminum gauge faces are available for '01 996's at By Design and Carnewal from my recent checks. There are probably other retailers as well. Be certain to ask if they are by Techart or Cargraphic, as there is a price and quality difference between the two according to several posts I have seen. Apparently the light bleeds through the Cargraphic faces. I have been looking for Techart faces for my '02 996, but have learned that they will not be available from Techart until the summer. By Design apparently installs them in your instrument console if you send it to them. Otherwise I guess it is a dealer installation job or a DIY, which has been done by several respondents of Porsche message boards. I suggest that you try a search of them for links.

Thanks for the info, but I'm actually interested in getting the bezels that fit outside the gauges.

Hopefully some company out there hear our cries for aluminum bezels because they look great even with the stock black face guages. I think for now I heard about painting them but don't want to do that. Hope PAG listens to make aluminum bezels for the 996. Regards. Mike

I checked with them this morning about aluminum gauge faces and since they specialize in instruments, they should be a good source of information about bezels. the person I spoke with was quite willing to discuss my questions. 818-761-5136
