Question location of fuel filter

Can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is on a 99 C2? I have looked in the usual locations and can't seem to find it. TIA

Under the rear (corrected) center of the car. You need to remove the large plastic belly cover. This is a Boxster but it is the same location.

Thanks Loren.

I found your photo on another board. On my car, it is closer to the rear wheels. In fact, it is necessary to take off the rear plastic cover and the long center cover to get the damn thing out of there. I wish I had taken it to my brother-in-law's shop and done this project on his lift. I still smell gasoline on my hands and arms.
