Coming over from the Dark Side???
My first Porsche is on order. 2002 C2 Tiptronic.
I'm getting the 030 Suspension, 18" Wheels, Stability Management,and Turbo Rear Spoiler, in addition to cosmetic options. As my M5 has a six speed and I've opted for Tiptronic( after riding in my Dad's TT), my question is.......
How badly will I need, or want, a chip to change the transmission response?

I have a 95 993 Tiptronic and just test-drove a 02 993 Tiptronic.
The newer tip is a huge improvement over the old. Stepping on the gas from a stop in 2nd gear had little or no engine lugging as compared to my car. Also having 5 gears made a huge improvement. When downshifting into a corner you don't seem to have the worry you do with the old tip of do I drop it into first and rev too high, or leave it it second and lug the engine out of the curve. I would strongly recommend that you drive the car aggressively for a while before putting in a chip.
