I paid for a touchtop via credit card about 3 weeks ago also. After a week went by without a shipping confirmation, I sent an email asking for an update. Never got a response, but the touchtop showed up the next day (had to have been in transit before I asked for an unpdate).

So the transaction completed, but with zero communication. BTW, I love the touchtop. Works as advertised.

Let me know what you find out. I'm getting ready to order the Sesame from them. I was just waiting for me car to come in before ordering because I wasn't sure whether to specify a Matte or Shiny switch. What looks best with a 2003 dash?

Karl,

From MY02 on Matte finish switches were used. Glossy finish switches were used in MY01 and earlier cars.

I finally got a response becuase I initiated an inquiry with paypal. I just dont understand why not just give the customer a confirmation or answer an email and maybe a phone # would be nice..... No way to run a business even if it is a side operation. Look at Eric from bumperplugs, this is a side thing for him and he will contact you every step of the way.

From their website:

Our Policies

Customer satisfaction;

We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. All products carry a 30 day money-back guarantee, a three year warranty, and lifetime customer support. Please contact us if you have any problems, or questions.

Pretty big words like "100%" and "lifetime"!

Maybe the guy's on vacation and left someone else "minding the inbox"?

Wow. If it wasn't for this post, I would not have known these exist. I could use them both, especially the seasame. My wife's Mercedes has the garage remote built in and I've always wished I had that in my car.

I have a question. Does anyone know if these products will effect the Porsche warranty?

Thanks.

Basically a little electronic timer for the soft-top mechanism. Makes the soft-top button work like one-touch windows (vs. holding it down throughout the open/close cycle). Installs behind the dash and the factory soft-top button.

Sheds at least 10 seconds off your normal "c'mon let's go" lap time!

Hold the phone...this cannot stand.

"I finally got a response becuase I initiated an inquiry with paypal. I just dont understand why not just give the customer a confirmation or answer an email and maybe a phone # would be nice.....No way to run a business even if it is a side operation. "

Its time for a little fair and ballanced reporting.

1) You contacted us with a special request to use Paypal. We responded immediatly and granted that request even though we stopped using paypal about a year ago.

2) You placed your order with Paypal. Here we messed up. By having discontinuted use of paypal (all of our orders are web based and generate instant confirmation, except for your special request) we forgot to check paypal for your order and dropped the ball. For that I sincerely apologize.

3) Phone number on PayPal incorrect? Not surprising. It is not used at all except for your special requetst. The contact information on www.sharkworks.com generates 1 business day or better turn around.

4)Your first contact via email to us was a few days ago. You waited exactly 43 seconds between sending your first email and cancelling your order with Paypal. I don't mean this figurativly. I have time timestamp of your email and the timestap of your paypal demand for refund. 43 seconds. We cannot investigate and resolve very much in 43 seconds. Sorry.

4) I personally replied to your email with 2 hours of the time you sent it.

Darren, the customer / vendor relationship is a two way street. It requires some coutesy on both sides. If you had given us as much as 1 day after your first email, which I did recieve and respond to, your issue would have been resolved to your satisfaction.

If any other Rennlist memebers ever have any problems with your order or communicaions. Please feel free to contact me directly at 408 757 4827 and your issue will be resolve immediatly.
