Went in for new wiper blades...
...came out with a new car. Okay, so I'm the biggest sucker on the planet, but I'm a sucker driving a brand new 2003 Arctic Silver C2 Cabriolet.

I think I got a pretty good deal. I was probably much too tired to be negotiating, but it was clear they definitely want to get the '03s off the lot. Either way, I'm smiling from ear to ear. This car sounds and feels so much better than the one I traded in.
I traded in the following for $45,000:
2000 Carrera Coupe Tip-S
Vesuvio Metallic
Space Grey - Full Leather Int
17" Wheels
Heated Front Seats
Power Seat Package
Porsche Stability Management
Hi-Fi Sound Package
On Board Computer
AM/FM Radio with CD Player
Supple Leather Front and Rear
Aluminum Instrument Dials
Aluminum Shifter/Brake
15,553 Miles
I got the following for $86,615:
(I can't find my window sticker right now, so I'll try to remember)
2003 Carrera Cabriolet 6 Speed Manual
Arctic Silver
Grey Interior - Partial Leather
18" Carrera Wheels
Heated Front Seats
Power Seat Package
Porsche Stability Management
Premium Sound Package (Includes Amp)
On Board Computer
AM/FM Radio with CD Player
Litronic Headlights
Leather Steering Wheel
Intrument Dials Painted Arctic Silver
Wind Deflector
MSRP $92,xxx

Yeah. The wipers are nice, and they only cost me $30. It's all the add-ons I got to go with the blades that really hurt the old pocket book. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
Khalid,
I'm loving the six speed. I don't really like to talk on the cell phone when I'm in the car, so I didn't really need to have my right hand free.
It's been three years since I had a manual, so I definitely need some practice (If I raced myself in the new car and my old car, I definitely think I would be faster off the line in the tip), but I am having a lot of fun with the added driver involvement. I never really liked the way the tip was geared.
Also, the car sounds a lot better. Partly because of the sports tail pipes.
Lastly, the biggest difference is in the handling. Going from 17" wheels to 18" wheels and the structural changes made since 2000 make this car feel like it is on rails.
