Default Wheel Refinishing in Chicago

Is anyone aware of a shop in Chicago who will do a good job refinishing a couple of ten spoke wheels?

I have never had this done before. Is there anything that I should be aware of when looking for a shop for this?

The guys that work in the shop at Loeber Porsche told me that they have a guy that does a good job. They said he does it while the wheel is still on the car and should be about $100/wheel. You may want to check with them. I haven't followed up with them as I am not ready to get my redone, but I'm getting close.

I've used Wheels America in Arlington Heights a few times - did a pretty incredible job on a set of 3 piece rims I had.

Default Ditto on Wheels America

I had them fix some curb rash on an S4 wheel. Flat rate of $125 if I remember correctly.

Yep, ~$125/rim - includes everything. That means it's $125 if you have a bit of curb rash and the same $125 if the rim is completely messed up but repairable.

I had a wheel lock seize in a rim. It needed to cut off with a torch. The rim was burned, black and what i thought was garbage. To Wheels America it went and it was good as new!

CHICAGO WHEEL in Bensenville (and formerly in Naperville) re-did a set of phone dials for me and they were perfect. Give them a call.

So what do you do if you only have one set of wheels, the ones on the car? Do you drop the car off for a few days? I assume the tires have to be removed.
