I'm going to be ordering a 03 C2 when they are available. I'm undecided about the sunroof. I really never use them, I just get them for resale. Does anyone with a 996 have any problems with their sunroof either leaking or rattling? If you had either of these problems was the dealer able to fix the problem?

MANY have complained about sunroof rattles in the 996 (and earlier models), and the sunroof costs you at least 70 lbs of extra weight - just where you don't want it - up high.

I'm thinking about the sunroof delete too. I might use it but have heard complaints.

However, one must bear in mind that people with problematic sunroofs will post their issues. People aren't going to jump up and down on forums starting threads like "My sunroof doesn't leak or squeak or rattle. Yippee!"

My point is that bad news will flow faster and more often than good news.

I have a sunroof. Yes it squeaks and rattles. But I don't care. Can't hear it that much over the sound of the exhaust or when the audio is turned up.

I like the open air and preferred the looks of the coupe of a cab so this was my only option.
