I am looking to add a switch to turn on the engine fan after a DE run on my 04 996. What I would like to do is find a switch that would fit in one of the blanks in the dash. One with the I/O icon would be great..better yet something with a "fan" type icon would be better.....

 

There have been alot of posts about htis, I ordered a footwell switch from Sunset it was like 26 bucks, adn then yoiu need the relay from Digi key, I have ordered them according to Sandy's post on here, I think if you email Sandy or do a search you will find what you need. About hte icon on it though, not sure if you can find one ther, but they fit perfectly in teh dash, just make sure to order either glossy or flat, whichever one matches your dash.

Just go to your dealer and they should have a whole drawer of them. I picked up a Targa sunshade switch and used it to wire a garage door remote into the dash. I've also relocated my spoiler switch to the dash using a Trubo rear spoiler switch. You may want to use a seat heater switch since it has a light to show if it is on or off.
