From the Porsche Technical Manual...
ROW M030 Sport
Conditions: Full fuel, spare wheel and tools, no driver or additional weights
Front
Toe unpressed (total): + 5 min +-5 min
Toe difference angle (at 20 degrees lock): - 2 deg 20 min +-30 min
Camber: - 15 min +- 15 min
Caster: 8 deg +- 30 min
Rear
Toe (per wheel): + 5 min +- 5 min
Camber: -1 deg 25 min +- 15 min
If you have PSM don't forget the steering angle sensor must be checked and re-calibrated with suspension changes.

These alignment settings seem like they would tend toward understeer - but I'm coming from a 993 perspective and running close to -2deg all round for a street / heavy track use vehicle.
Does anybody recommend more extreme (esp. in front) camber setup for the 996 ?

What I posted are the factory specs for ROW M030 suspensions. Of course you could run a negative 1.5 degrees in the front and most track only cars do. If you are running street and track then -1.5 degrees is likely going to cause more aggressive tire wear than you may want.

Chris, I have -2 degrees of camber front & back on my 99 C2. It handles great both on and off the track. Camber adjustment is very limited on the 996 though. I don't think you can get anywhere near -2 degrees with the ROW M030 suspension.
As for wear on street tires, I just wear out the insides and then flip them on the rims. Track guys have been doing it for years and it's worked fine on my S02s.
