When I was at Porsche, I noticed that they refer to the TT as "Top"; on paperwork, signs, carts, etc. All others were referred to by their internal designations: 996 C4S, 996C2, etc.
I was lucky enough that "Top" was available:

Was that as an employee?
At PAG or PCNA? And what department?
Just curious. (And btw, nice car)

Mike in Chi,
It was Zuffenhausen Germany (Porsche production); R&D/test track is in Weissach.
Not an employee, rather a supplier. I work for Bose, Automotive Systems Division, and I designed the DSP amplifier for all Porsches.
When I was at Zuffenhausen, my German coworkers arranged a factory tour (as a birthday present, as I had to travel/work on my birthday which really screwed up the surprise party my wife had planned).
Next trip over I am planning on visiting Porsche/Weissach and getting one of their drivers to take me for a test drive around their track.
Although I design amplifiers for Porsche, Audi and Mercedes, if Porsche had an opening, I would work for them tomorrow; but for now this is OK

Very cool. and thanks for the reply.
It would be wonderful to tour weissach and get a couple hot laps with one of their drivers.
Hope you get hooked up.

Like Ed, I also thought of the "Dial 911" tag way back when all I wanted was a 911 Turbo. A friend of mine in Maryland with a 944 Turbo S when they first came out had this tag put on his car, "MNMNNM". I don't know or remember if that was the exact sequence but the up and down zig zag effect is the same.
He was always outrunning the police in the area and you could be sitting behind his car at a traffic light and get cross eyed trying to make it out accurately. I suppose any variation of similar looking letters will do, O's and Q's, T's and I's etc.

Very smart. Very, very smart. Will keep that in mind. As for creativity, although there have been quite a few runner ups, I think the winner continues to be "Dial 911." Love it.
Regards.

Three Wheelin'
I think I may go for it on the new car. DIAL 9II is SOOO cool, I'm just worried the cops will give me a hard time.
On the topic of police evaders, one guy I saw in NYC had one that went something like this:
1LI1ILI1
Try writing that on a ticket!

I saw this one at the track. I believe he's on this board. I know he's on CFG's.
It's the best I've seen in person:
