I do not think they are headed back up however it does appear that their rate of decline has decreased or perhaps even temporarily stalled.

That's what I'm thinking.

A 2000 996 is not going to be $9,000 any time soon... it will hit a plateau.

But what is the plateau? I don't think any 996 will be worth less than $15k in the next decade with prices leveling off at around $30k. Why do I say that? 993 prices will remain high, perhaps a good 10k or so more than 996s. Traditionally, even older 70s or 80s well-maintained 911s have been selling between $15-30k. So I don't know why our '99s - '04s would command significantly less.

don't forget 997 and boxster.

talking about 964/993, their production # can't match with 996+boxster.
