Post transmission fluid...

I want to change my tranny fluid this coming weekend but lack instructions and fluid requirements. Does anyone have any information on the transmission fluid that needs to be used, I searched the forum but can't find an answer?

2000 C2

Thanks

The only Porsche approved ATF is: Esso ATF LT 71141
In the US I think you can only get this from the dealer. 3.5 liters for the change.

Do you have the change procedure? MY2000 are a lot easier than MY02 and newer.

On MY 02 and newer (same Tip as the TT) you must remove two plugs and a hose line. You need a special charging hose to fill. Then you must top up with the transmission temp under 40 degrees C (you need a PST2 to measure transmission temp). If the temp is too high you get a false reading.

I think I read in the manual where is says 90,000 miles before you do this for a Tip. I am interested in your reasons for the change.....

Ah..... he got us all (I think it's the word "fluid" in the first message). It's not a Tip it's a manual transmission.
