Fine, I'll just type the word. That's F******* stand for Frigging. So it's 3 g's.

if you look like the picture:

every week, there will be someone bring teh highest quality oil to your home and change and clean it for you. Free of charge. it's in the Porsche factory "hot chick maintenance warranty" Section 14-56. Read about it!

The good news is congrats on the new purchase. The bad is you have a major service at 30k. Mobile 1 0w40 is pretty much standard for these cars. Ruf Auto Center charges $100 for the oil change with Mobil 1. There are a few other things that need to be done for the 30K (filters, clean radiators, etc...).

No, you don't need to change it more often even with tracking the car. I say that to only some extent. These engines consume oil (as you will read in the owners manual). I add a quart every couple of months from normal driving. I can consume an entire quart in 4 hard driven sessions on a track in a single day. If you run the car hard and park on an incline, it is not unusual to see about a $.30 puff of Mobile 1 come out of the exhaust pipes the next time you start it up. Personally, I am pretty regularly adding new oil due to track time. You should always keep a couple spare quarts around.

Also, anyone know of good service shops in the Atlanta area for this kind of thing. I'm sure the P dealers charge a lot more for oil changes.

thanks!

Not sure I (or most here) would agree with that statement. For one, I have NEVER had a oil cunsumption issue. Never added ANY oil between oil changes and check it often and have at most seen an add of .5L between oil changes if I push it hard at the track all day for 2 straight days.

Ask the gal in your avatar how often she wants her oil changed.....

Bring her to my shop, I will do it for free...... BTW, I recommend weekly.

Hell, why bother with changing your oil. Just keep topping it off until the motor stops, and then buy a replacement crate engine.
