Post Are these wheels good value ??

Is this good value, I tend to think so, feedback would be great.

Currently I have 18" Sport Designs, with 7.5J on the front and 10J on the rear. The tyres are 225/40 on the front and 265/30 on the rear, tyres are in excellant condition as the car has only done 6,700 miles. The wheels look perfect but the other side of the split rim, there is some corrosion, (down to water getting in - I'm informed). You cannot see from looking at the car.

I have offered a set of 18" Sport Techno wheels with tyres, front 8J with 225/40 ZR and on the rear 11J with 295/30 ZR all tyres are new Pirelli's. The wheels are unused and they would take mine in as part exchange.

Cost £1,762 fitted. In US or Euro $2,175

What do you all reckon ? or

Thanks
Colin

When you want to install the 11" Sport Techno wheels on a MY '99-'01 996 then you must roll the rear fenders, at least that is what is recommended in the sales literature.
So that might be an extra cost in case you plan to go with the Sport Techno's.

The Sport techno wheels have hollow spokes and will be lighter than the Sport Design wheels.

Thanks Gert,
I wasn't told about this by the dealers, hmm - Is " rolling the rear fenders " where the lip of the arch is curved under instead of remaining at 90% ? My fronts arches are like this already - is this normal and is this part or all of the solution ?

Thanks again
Colin

Thanks.
