Just got my 2003 C4 cabrio on Sunday and I am overfilled with emotions to describe what i feel!!! But already found 1 annoying thing: I have the hardtop on and when I pass over road humps or go on the sidewalk to park the top squeaks really bad. Is that normal for all p-cars? or is there something I can do about it (except for taking the damn thing off)

Hardtop does rattle a little but I'm not sure about squeaking. It may need to be lubed or tightened down by the hardtop tool.

Pechka, there are some TSBs to help resolve this problem. TSB #6117 swaps out the 2 rear 'turn-locks' for a screw down type mechanism. Also, I would suggest that you very properly lube the two locking mechanisms and the joints up front where the hardtop attaches each season before usage. TSB #6102 addresses quick fixes that the mechanic can do to try and resolve any irritating noises.

Where is the squeaking coming from.... front, back, driver or passenger side...?? There are also some "plastic tip covers" that cover the inserts on the top where it inserts into the the car. These often break or are lost. Without them there will be some noise from the top..
