Need speaker part numbers looked up....
I have four part numbers for speakers I'd like to have someone look up ( I'm in the process of looking for a microfiche machine!). In the future I'll be able to look them up myself.
1) 996.645.048.01 C50 (right side)
2) 996.645.047.01 C50 (should be above left)
3) 996.645.038.02 01C (right side)
4) 996.645.037.02 01C (should be above left)
They should all be front speakers for a 996. One interesting note: The first pair have the postive (+) end of midrange connected to the negative (-) end of the tweeter). The second pair have the positive (+) end of the midrange driver connects to the positive (+) end of the tweeter! Which pair is correct. the first seems to have the tweeter's polarity reversed. Why aren't they both the same? Also on one car, the left side had all the speakers marked "R", and the right side had all the apeakers marked "L"! It was correct on the other car ("L" on the left, etc..)
