Default Sally Carrera

Sally Carrera is one of the characters in the upcoming Disney-Pixar movie "cars". The studio wanted a real-life version of Sally for promotional appearances so they hired Eddie Paul (who was referred by Jay Leno) to build it for them. Gizmag wrote an article about it and it has a few pictures:

It seems a shame to chop up a 996 like that but the end result is awfully cute.

They only changed out the front bumper, tinted the windows, and painted the eyes on the windshield.

Actually, if you notice the roof and the front windshield, the lines look more in-line with that of a 993 or 964. There could be more work done to it than meets the eyes. The side skirts have been molded to the body (and an extra piece has been added to the rear), the rear quarter panel has taken on a slightly curvier shape and the rear bumper is definitely different too

and the ride height rivals the cherokee!! someone drop some PSS9s on that baby

    evo,

Perhpas you're right. The windshield doesn't look right, if that's the case then they spent some serious cash for that project car.

How long before it's on e-bay?

According to the article, they shortened the chassis and raised the roof.

The C pillar and windshield definitely come from a 964/993.

It reminds me of an Opel GT.

I love it, Think of it like this, Even Disney Knows how good a Porsche is..964,993 or a 997 would have been a great as well
