Lightbulb Headlights melting?

THESE ARE TWO PICTURES OF MY LEFT AND RIGHT HEADLIGHTS..

SPOT THE LITTLE YELLOW PATCHES IN THE LEFT ONE? IT'S LIKE THE PLASTIC IS MELTING? IS THIS NORMAL? I HAVENT CHANGED THE BULBS AND THEY SEEM TO BE THE SAME STRENGTH..

Okay... here is a shot...
The H4 headlights (not Litronic) have a masking film that is used to block light from blinding oncoming traffic. It is applied to different points depending on whether your car is left hand drive or right hand drive.

Perhaps this film has discolored and needs to be replaced?

Loren, you might be very right i see that the yellow area is wrinkled nylon..

Hmmm...
