Question HID H7 bulbs for fog/driving lights?

I recently upgraded to litronics, love them. I wish the fog lights (H7 bulb) were xenon as well (they are yellow and kind of throw off the litronic effect). Anyone changed out theirs with an HID kit or blue white bulbs?

I have a '02 Carrera with bi-xenons and replaced the fogs (H3) with PIAA H3 Xtreme White (part number 15256). Got them at Autobarn.com. Also replaced the bulbs in my clear side markers with PIAA 168 Wedge Xtreme Super White (part number 19172). Look great.

Poursha what was involved with changing out your fogs?

Is it an easy swap?

How much did each set of bulbs cost?

To change the fogs you remove the headlight assembly, and then replace the fog light bulbs, per the instructions in the owners manual. Side marker bulb replacement also in owners manual. Easy to do.

Fog bulbs were $31.95 each, and side marker bulbs were $13.95 for a pair, plus shipping

Ok, I changed out my H7 bulbs today to blue white halogens. A much better match to the litronic beams, a more overall homogenous look WITH fog lights and headlights running at the same time.

For those of you with MY99-01, the litronic retro kit comes with halogen (H7) fog lights, which as stock bulbs that yellow-up your new xenon set-up.

Has anyone tried an H7 HID upgrade? Not the halogen, but the real hid with ballasts?

I also want to go with fogs. (PIAA H3 Xtreme White (part number 15256) if that is the closest color to the xenons. Is there any difference between the bulbs in a 2001 carrera vs a 2002 assembly? I never turn the fogs on because of the variance in color from the xenons.

Check your owners manual under changing bulbs, and there should be a list of all the bulbs on the car and what type nd wattage they are.
