Talking How old were you when you OWNED your first 996?

This is a comparison to the posting: How old were you when you owned your first Porsche

I think it's important to find out "How old were you when you OWNED" your first Porsche.

Yes, Pink Slips in hand..........

I'll start: 30 (2 yrs ago),

lucky for me I was able to purchase it in full..... Mine was a B59 from Brumos in FL......

31. Perhaps a more interesting question would be how old were you when you were first pwn3d by a 911.

Well, I am 23 now, and I am picking up my first 996 tomorrow if all goes well. I'll have a loan to pay off for a few years, but I guess that makes me pretty young for the 996 board.

If i can get a car loan at 5%, then I will defintely get the cheap money and keep liquidity rather than paying outright

First 911 23

First 996 33

My rule, never take a loan out on something that depreciates.

I agree, pay cash. I did not really start making big bucks until I was 29 before that a porsche was just a dream.

but you can't do that arb riskfree... 5Y loan @ 5.00% vs 5Y UST @ 4.78, is -0.22%

better way to pay for your car is borrow from 0% credit cards, invest risk free @ 4.78%
