IMHO, we ought to pay the car in cash. I didn't want to buy a P-car until I could comfortably pay for one without financing or leasing. If I had to invest less in order to buy a sports car, I would be making a very bad financial mistake. The opportunity cost of leasing is terrible for me since I'd rather spend the $ I would have spent on a sports car on equipment, labor, or advertising for my company. I have some business associates who would lease an S-class or P-car for clients but daily drive a Camry for tax reasons. IMHO, I think they are neither enjoying their nice ride nor getting the most out of their $.

I love my '01 carrera but I also see it as an expensive toy--one that has put a smile on my face since the day I bought it. Cheers.

Is it just me or does it seem that all of the younger owners on this thread seem to be "Registered Users" as opposed to fully paid "Rennlist Members" Come on now boys, membership is only $17! Nut up!

I guess this means you are not an official "Pink in Hand Member"

I purchased the car when I was 22. I think I will be able to pay off the car by the end of this year, but we'll see. Will be 25 by then. If I didn't have the bloody m5, I would have been an official PIF member by now...

I hope to join the ranks of the elite PIF crew one day

What is up with all the hassling here? Every 10 post there is someone asking for membership. What does this post have to do with membership?

Djantlive -

What does this post have to do with membership? How about supporting a site you obviously use a great deal...you've posted over One Thousand times and don't feel the need to support Rennlist with a membership? The only reason you can even enjoy a site like this is due to the financial support of vendors and users.

A bad dinner can cost more than $17.00. $17.00 is super cheap for a quality site like this.
