Can tires be repaired?
I just found a nail in one of my back tires (2002 C2 Cab with 6,000 miles on it). Some tire stores repair tires from the inside.
Can my tire be repaired this way?

I am no expert, but feel your tire is certainly repairable unless the nail is somehow on the side of the tire.
I would not take the nail out. Just drive to the tire store and let them remove the nail and make the repair.
I do not think it is a biggy.

There are some who say Z rated tires cannot be repaired in terms of meeting their original specifications. At the very least, I wouldn't do any driver's ed events with a repaired tire.

Yes, any tire can be repaied so long as it does not involve the sidewall. However, speed rating then is nullified. Basically, you take your chances if you are going to go at any significant speed. Additionally, the car may not pass tech inspection in a DE event.

Hopefully the nail is further to the center of the tire than to the sides, that does make a difference. Other than that make sure, if you have it repaired, that they do a patch by taking the tire off the wheel and patching the inside. Never allow someone to plug the tire from the outside, it is not safe.
