Dave,

The 996 in the picture have been equiped with Trend seats, great for daily driving.

Only the racing seats have 4,5, and 6 point pass throughs
Here is a catalog of Recaro Racing seats. Hope this helps!

Thanks Daniel, I have seen the racing seats. My car is also used for pleasure in addition to about 12-15 DE events. I was kind of looking for the best of both worlds....

Dave,

I completely understand! You probably already know this but the best recommendation I can suggest would be going with the Sport or the Sport Topline since they can both have 4 point harness.

I have the Pole Positions myself and they are great seats for track.. a little rough for my 2 hour/day commute thru Orange County traffic

Does the seat heating system work through the stock control system (ie unplug and plug in)?

Hey Shark,

the Topline seats (those with heaters, coolers, electronic controls, etc.) can not be re-integrated with the OEM control system without major surgery on the chair, which I don't suggest. Hope this helps

Daniel,

I'm interested in the Pole Position but I am concerned with raising the seat height. There is another post on this forum showing the GT3 seats and Pole Position side by side. With the brackets it seems you sit 2 inches higher than GT3 which wouldn't work for me. Any suggestions?

Hey KC996, after reading that thread I noticed that the opening poster wasn't using authentic Recaro sidemounts. As you can see, authentic Recaro Sidemounts allow you to adjust your seat height.

Hope this helps!

The 996 height issues seems more to do with the sliders you're using. I was using 996 manual sliders which force the seat higher about an inch at least because of the locking pins. Daniel seems to be using Recaro sliders which don't have this problem. 993 manual sliders should also work.

Daniel,

Thanks for the info! I just bought a roll bar, next I'm doing headers then seats (it never ends); all while I am adding another bathroom to my house. So it's going to be a few months before I can make a move but I will definitely keep you in mind.
